Products that are popular at Amazon tend to be pretty good quality items or they wouldn’t be classed as popular or best sellers. The three best selling wine chillers at Amazon are currently coolers made by Igloo and NutriChef. I’ll take a look at each of these and tell you how they compare to each other in the review below.
Igloo (which some spell “iGloo” for some reason) is a well-known brand. NutriChef, which is actually a Pyle Audio brand is generally lesser known. (Pyle Audio produces all kinds of products besides audio equipment.)
If you’re in a hurry and just want to check the pricing and availability at Amazon of the wine coolers that I’ll review here, you can click (tap) a link in the list below.

NutriChef considers these to be freestanding models, but you can certainly install them under a counter just as easily.
While some coolers require you to open the door to change the temperature and other settings, these NutriChef models both have a handy display on the outside. You won’t lose any cold air from the inside while making changes. This is more efficient, energy-wise, saving you at least a little cash in the long run.
These units are designed to run very quietly, so you should be able to place them anywhere you want at home, in an office, or in another place of business without worrying about the motor disturbing the peace.
The racks are specifically designed for storing wine bottles horizontally, but there is space inside each chiller for standing (open) bottles too.
At least one owner really appreciates this feature.
“Was specifically looking for a wine cooler that could hold taller upright bottles with a stopper in them. This model definitely fits the bill.”
NutriChef offers a 1 year warranty on their products.
As of this writing, the 12 bottle unit is ranked #1 in wine chillers at Amazon. The 18 bottle model is ranked #1 in small and in freestanding wine cellars.
Igloo 12 Bottle Wine Chiller

The Igloo 12 bottle wine chiller comes in three variations. Only two of these are currently shown on the Igloo website, but all three are still available at Amazon.
The only significant differences among them are the style of the door and the location of the control panel.
Model number FRW1225 has both a curved, 2 layer, glass door and external digital display for setting the controls. It is currently ranked #1 in the wine cellar cooling systems category at Amazon.
Model FRW133 retains the external controls, but you don’t get the curved door. This one currently ranks #17 in Amazon’s small wine cellars group.
Model FRW1201 has neither the external control panel nor the curved glass door. It is currently #9 in the small wine cellars category.

One other difference, that may or may not matter to you, is the color of the interior lighting. Apparently the FRW1225 has blue lighting, and the FRW133 has white. (I was unable to tell what color the FRW1201 has.)
Within each of these units, you can store 8 bottles of wine lying flat and 4 bottles vertically. You can remove the shelves for cleaning and in case you want to store something larger than normal inside.
Igloo says that these units are “vibration free” so that the sediments in your bottles are not disturbed.
You should also be able to adjust the height of at least the FRW133 model.
These chillers weight between 25 and 27 pounds. Their measurements, according to the information I found, seems to vary a bit more than you would expect. The FRW1225 is 25.2 x 20.2 x 10 inches. The FRW133 is 20.7 x 19.5 x 15.2 inches. The FRW1201 is 20.5 x 19.2 x 15 inches.
Conclusions about These Best Selling Wine Chillers
I think you would be pleased with any of the wine chillers described here. The twelve wine bottle capacity seems to be a common number, but the 18 bottle chiller will serve you well if you need more space. The only downside of the larger unit is that you obviously need a larger space in which to install it.
